A Chinese Polychrome Lacquered Wood Armchair
Qianlong Period, 18th century
清中期 棕漆彩繪扶手椅
the back of the chair set with five reticulated panels carved with foliate scrolls, enclosing two rectangular openings, the curved arm rests on further openworked panels, all above a seat panel and shaped aprons, the square sectioned legs joined by stretchers; painted throughout in red, green and gilt showing blossoming floral scrolls against a dark brown ground.
